The presentation will include the short history and the structure of relevant standards. You can hear how the GSM-R technology was evolved, who contributed it.

There will be shown the basic and extended network system structureplus the extra requirements on system components (in other words: the differences between GSM & GSM-R networks) will be shown. The presentation will provide an overview of the special features of call handling, group communications and their typical use cases.
